Blessings Flowing from Post-Mining Ponds
As a company that upholds proper mining engineering principles, or good mining practices, MMSGI through its subsidiary PT MHU reuses water from post-mining ponds (voids) to provide clean water for farmers and surrounding communities in Margahayu Village and Jonggon Jaya Village, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan, by building a water treatment plant. This facility supplies clean water to more than 1,500 households.
After the Mines Rises the Shepherd's Field
The post-mining land of PT Multi Harapan Utama, located in the Busang Jonggon Operation Block and Jonggon B Village (Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan), has been repurposed into a livestock farming center. In collaboration with local communities around PT MHU’s operational area, the farm is projected to accommodate up to 1,000 cattle. The livestock center is managed by PT Bramasta Sakti, a subsidiary of MMSGI, in partnership with the Cattle Buffalo Club Indonesia (CBC) Foundation and the Life After Mine (LINE) Foundation.
