Chase Your Dream Package

Based on an analysis conducted by PT MHU’s team, it was found that two villages in Loa Kulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Jembayan Village and Jembayan Tengah Village still had low education levels. To address this, MMSGI, through its subsidiary PT MHU, initiated an educational equality program for underprivileged and school-dropout communities. The program is implemented in partnership with PKBM Karang Melenu, a community learning center experienced in managing various educational activities.

Responding Quickly to Covid-19

When Indonesia first faced the storm of the Covid-19 pandemic, the situation was deeply concerning. The lack of medical equipment in healthcare facilities, coupled with disruptions to economic activities, created not only health issues but also social and economic challenges for communities. In response, MMSGI through its subsidiary PT MHU, in collaboration with partner companies acted quickly to deliver aid worth IDR 5 billion to hospitals and villages across East Kalimantan. The assistance, consisting of medical PPE and food supplies, was directly received by East Kalimantan Governor Isran Noor. In addition, MMSGI as a whole contributed to the distribution of social assistance packages and vaccines to 7,500 residents in Kalimantan, supporting the government’s efforts to achieve herd immunity.

Lung Anai Chocolate House

The Lung Anai Chocolate House in Loa Kulu was inaugurated following a series of collaborations and support initiatives. The program began in November 2022 with technical guidance (Bimtek) from the Kukar Plantation Office. Throughout 2023, PT MHU and the Plantation Office provided comprehensive assistance, including fermentation boxes, a drying house, a roaster machine, a desheller, and six chocolate processing machines. Through training, local producers are now able to make chocolate candies and cocoa powder from locally sourced cacao beans. The business has already obtained SP-PIRT and NIB licenses, successfully showcased its products at Nusantara Agrifest 2023, and is currently undergoing building rehabilitation funded through the Village Budget (APBDesa) and PT MHU PPM Fund to become a more representative facility.
